Accessibility Statement

The Quay Hotel & Spa takes the needs and equal treatment of all our guests extremely seriously. Therefore, we are committed to ensure our facilities and services are accessible to all.

The Quay Hotel & Spa recognises that there is no single hotel design or layout that will entirely meet every individual’s needs and preferences. If during your stay you feel there is something else, we could do to assist you, or make your stay more comfortable, please allow us the opportunity to do so by contacting Reception.

Prior to arrival 

  • Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, in person or email.
  • We request that anyone wishing to visit, informs us in advance or any disability where access may be an issue so we can ensure to meet your needs and offer assistance, if required, on arrival and throughout your stay.  
  • The nearest train station is less than a mile away in Deganwy. There is also a main line station in Llandudno Junction, just over a mile away. 
  • Directions to the hotel can be found on our website.

On Arrival at The Quay Hotel & Spa

  • Our large complimentary car park is all on one level.
  • The car park surface is tarmac, with a level path leading to the pedestrian entrance. The car park and entrance are lit at night. 
  • There is an automatic door from the car park into the Hotel.

Checking In

  • Access to reception is available on the ground floor level within the main entrance to the hotel. 
  • Part of reception desk has low level access for guests using wheelchairs to complete their registration card.
  • Please tick the box on your registration card if you require assistance in the event of an emergency or inform the receptionist on duty. 
  • Porter service is available to assist guests with their luggage.
  • Comfortable seating is available in the reception area which you are welcome to use during the check in procedure 

Bedrooms

  • We have 3 fully accessible bedrooms with walk in showers, hand rails and an emergency pull cord. 
  • We also have a further 18 bedrooms with walk in showers. 
  • All rooms have direct dial telephones.
  • Room service is available from 7:00am until 8:00pm.
  • The fire alarm is audio only however systems have been put in place to ensure the safe exit of all guests in the case of an emergency. If you have any concerns on this issue our Duty Manager will be pleased to talk to you about these procedures.
  • All televisions are remote controlled smart TVs.
  • All bedrooms have a small chiller.  

The Ground Floor

  • Restaurant and Bars are on the ground floor and are both on one level. 
  • Whilst the Bar may be too high for those in a wheelchair, table service is offered.
  • There are accessible toilets on the ground floor.

The Bar & Restaurant

  • Most dietary requirements can be catered for, we do appreciate prior arrangement.
  • Most chairs are non-fixed in the Restaurant, some are designed with arm rests.
  • Table service is provided. 
  • Large print menus are available upon request.
  • Lighting is a mixture of natural day light and lamps, with wall lights and overhead lights

The Spa

  • The leisure facilities are situated on the ground floor and are all on one level. 
  • There is a disabled toilet and changing facilities.
  • Hand rails are in place to assist in and out of both the hydrotherapy pool and the swimming pool.
  • Our treatment beds can be lowered to help people with limited movement.
  • The leisure club is manned by trained assistants. 

Conference and meeting rooms 

  • We have 2 meeting rooms on the first floor, which can be accessed via the lift opposite the reception desk.  
  • The nearest accessible toilet is situated on the ground floor, past reception. 

Other Information

  • Assistance dogs are welcome at the Hotel.
  • Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the Hotel.
  • All information such as menus and bedroom information can be printed in larger fonts if required.
  • The hotel, including all bedrooms is non-smoking. External designated smoking areas are available. 
  • The building is fitted with smoke detectors in all public areas and bedrooms. 
  • Our staff are more than happy to arrange taxi services for our guests.
  • We have tried to be accurate and as comprehensive as possible in the preparation of this Access Statement. All staff are more than happy to assist in any way possible to ensure that you have a very enjoyable stay at the Quay Hotel & Spa.
